This 1951 home in Kensington, Maryland folds an office into the living room where a modular wall unit serves as a desk, offering out-of-sight storage as well as room to display a few favorite books and ceramics. If a dedicated room for an office isn’t available in your house, tucking a work space into a larger room is a creative solution.

Why not build your home office around your favorite color? Orange and handmade touches define this home office. Jenny James of Suburban Pop loves orange and painted the abstract art herself.
